AP 2D Drawing

      

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

AP 2D Drawing course is directed at the advanced student who is looking to study visual art at a post-secondary level, with a focus on thematic concept and displayed mastery of drawing skills. Students will complete and document a unified portfolio of work to be submitted for grading with the Advanced Placement Submissions Board. Successful candidates can receive college credit for their work.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: 

  • - To prepare and support students in producing a rigorously documented and highly considered sustained body of work that will meet the College Board standards for college credit.
  • - To provide structured and measurable objectives in order to help the student submit the best portfolio and documentation they can.
  • - To create an environment of constructive critical analysis and awareness of other artists work that can help inform the student's own personal approach.

RECOMMENDED GRADES:   11, 12

PREREQUISITES:  Fundamental 2D, Intermediate 2D, Advanced 2D
