Physical Science
Regular Physical Science is a year long hands-on course for students who are not college-bound in STEM field of study. Students will investigate basic scientific principles in chemistry and physics.
CP - Physical Science
CP Physical science is a year-long course focusing on chemistry and physics that provides foundational laboratory-based skills for future CP science classes.
Environmental Science
Environmental Science is a year long hands-on course to study societal and biological principles impacting humans and natural systems on Earth.
Water Science
A science course focused primarily on analytical, water chemistry with an emphasis on water quality testing.
Astronomy and its Worldly Impact
A science course designed to pique interest in a variety of scientific topics. The course mainly aims to study relevant advances in the scientific community that impact everyday life. The course will briefly discuss some of the earliest findings in science that are still used as current models such as the big bang theory, meteorology, astronomical evolution, DNA discovery, etc.
Biology
Biology is a year long course aimed at students gaining a better understanding of science issues through the study of life.
CP -Biology
CP Biology is a year long course aimed at students gaining a better understanding of science issues through the study of life.
Conceptual Biology
Conceptual Biology is a year long course for students in the Alternative Program to gain a better understanding of how biology affects most aspects of their lives.
Forensic Science
Forensic Science is a year long elective course aimed at students gaining a better understanding of science issues by studying the discoveries and techniques used by forensic scientists.
Life Skills Science
This is a Science class for students with Severe Needs to learn and understand different Science concepts while still working on their individual reading, writing, and mathematical goals.
Chemistry
A year long introduction to the basics of chemistry for students looking to earn a college degree, but not in the maths or sciences, or a career in science that does not require a college degree. Some math will be required and laboratory participation is expected.
CP Chemistry
A solid foundation for those looking to attend college and take a General Chemistry course.
CE Chemistry 1111
College level general chemistry first semester for college credit.
CE Chemistry 1112
College level general chemistry second semester for college credit.
CP Physics
A year long course delving into classical mechanics, energy, waves, and circuits. This course will require very strong algebra skills.
CP Anatomy & Physiology
Anatomy/Physiology is a year-long course aimed at students gaining a better understanding of science issues through the study of the human body and the systems that drive it.
