J-1 Visa Students

When students study abroad, they gain new insights into other cultures and themselves, improve their language skills and increase their preparedness for college. At Elizabeth High School, we are fortunate to be able to host Foreign Exchange students each year from various countries.

Here are the next steps that we need you to complete before coming to EHS:

  1. Complete online new student enrollment information-/Domain/282
  2. Contact Mr. Keith Kirkland at kkirkland@esdk12.org to schedule your initial registration
  3. Once accepted, we will develop a class schedule.

Please bring the following documents with you when you come to finish registration. All documents must be in their original language, and translated into English.

  • Immunization Records
  • Agency Application
  • Academic Transcript
  • List of program requirements for classes
  • Proof of residency for host family

Exchange student opportunities exist with many different organizations. Here are a few that we have worked with in the past. The following list does not indicate endorsement, nor improve the chances of a successful J-1 Visa being issued.

It is important to remember that foreign exchange students will receive a certificate of attendance and will not be issued a diploma of graduation.
